Bardwell Lake

Location: Ennis, TX. Waxahachie Creek

Lake Size: 3,138 acres

Max Depth: 43 feet

Fishing: Hydrilla has moved into the upper end of the lake, improving the largemouth bass fishery. Catfish, white bass and stripers are also good fishing at Bardwell Lake. There are also crappie and sunfish found here.

Facilities: 3 Boatramps (no fee required, open all year, managed by US Army Corps of Engineers), fishing dock

  • Dairy Hill Boatramp - East shore, south of Peoria bridge
  • Old School Ramp - West shore off FM 933
  • Hackberry Creek Access Area - Eastern branch, North shore. End of County Road 2428
